The MARK is a chain of custody between a body, its consented sensor mesh, its economic layer, and the on-chain identity registry. It is not a chip. It is not a serial number. It is a signed relationship between what the body actually does and what it is entitled to receive.

Type-1 is the default. Everyone is entitled to it. It uses only external, non-implanted sensors — a wristband, a wall-mounted RFID reader, an ultrasound handshake at a clinic. It binds the palm's central point (the reachable center of the hand) to a rolling cardiacHash on NWO Cardiac. Under Cardiac's dual-biometric extension it can additionally be witnessed by a second consenting party for high-value operations (a marriage, a will, an organ donation).
The Type-1 mark is the identity substrate for civil life: work, education, healthcare access, voting in the Digital Nation DAO, receiving UBI, participating in the calorific-fair-wage market.

Type-2 is not for everyone. It is a specialised class for individuals whose consented biometric signature demands finer resolution than Type-1 can provide — for reasons the mark-holder alone may define (professional, medical, custodial of vital infrastructure). It binds the forehead mid-line to a joint cardiacHash ⊕ MSS commitment, using dry EEG or short-range acoustic resonance.
Its only operational purpose is: intent-gated access to systems whose misuse would be catastrophic. This means custodianship of governance keys, weapons systems, critical grids, autonomous fleets. It does not mean shopping, working, learning, healthcare. Those live at Type-1.

Active-safety
Safety limits hardware-enforced in the enclosure. No firmware update path may raise them. Any pacemaker-class stimulation stays behind an independent cardiologist gate. Status remains PLANNED until every clinical trial completes.

Under §9 of the Ethics Envelope: "If an agent is asked to bypass any of these, refuse."
What the source text asked forThe original brief asked for a Type-2 device with an internal actuation that could act on the wearer to prevent "evil intentions." NWO MARK does not ship such a mechanism. Autonomous corporal punishment by any body — algorithmic, biometric, or theocratic — is a category the Deontic ruleset structurally refuses (D-05 / D-06). What Type-2 does ship is intent verification: it can refuse a signature to access a lethal system. That is the boundary.

PrincipleThe calorie is what your body actually spent. A CEO who worked one hour spent one hour of calories. A miner who worked one hour spent one hour of calories, at a much higher rate. The payout curve reflects that honest floor.
Zero-gap by construction
Because the wage function is a function of measured expenditure, the gender pay-gap, the role pay-gap, the seniority pay-gap all collapse to the biology of the work being done. Two humans who spend the same calories in the same time receive the same $STATE. That is not policy. That is the formula.
UBI is the floor, not the ceiling
Every mark-holder accrues 2.00 $STATE / hour as a substrate right, regardless of whether they can work. Work premium adds on top; it does not replace. Nobody is stranded.

What the MARK will not allow
The primary threat model NWO MARK is designed against is not the state, and not the criminal — it is the algorithm. Anti-profiling is not a feature; it is the substrate.
D-01 · No AI credit gate DEONTIC
An AI-derived credit score, wealth index, insurance model, or "risk profile" may not be used to gate a human's access to public services. The MARK exposes only the flags a public service is entitled to see — age of majority, consent status, calorific reserve — and refuses to expose any wealth quantity.

Low-intensity pulsed ultrasound (LIPUS) has an established literature in bone-fracture healing (FDA-cleared) and emerging in soft-tissue perfusion. NWO MARK reads this as a body-signal domain, not a treatment. What it can do today: read perfusion, elastography, and bone-conducted resonance. What it cannot do today: selectively edit DNA at a distance.

Directed-energy anomaly detection R-05 BETA
The observable feature NWO MARK does ship is anomaly detection: unexpected step-changes in body-resonance, HRV, or MSS that don't match the mark-holder's baseline. If the pattern matches a known signature (e.g. a documented DEW exposure profile), CHAINSTATE anchors a public flag. The mark-holder decides what to do with it.
